Art is all about growth and experimentation. It’s important to remember that not even the most highly regarded artists started out as exceptional artists, but instead got there over time by progressing through phases of development.
Here’s an example to help illustrate the point.
The image above shows 3 self portraits by one of the most notable artists of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso. While we’ve all seen the Picasso’s most famous cubist works, few of us have seen all the other work he went through to be able to accomplish those works.
