Getting Started

Studying online is different to other forms of study because your success depends much more on your ability to motivate yourself and keep yourself organised. You also have to ensure you have all the equipment you need to get the job done, particularly when it comes to the  technology you’ll depend on to access your study materials. For students who are new to studying online, it can all seem intimidating, leaving people unsure where to begin.

Where do I start?

There are two main locations for a student studying online through Curtin University:
Oasis is your gateway to online student services. Go there first to get access to all the information and services Curtin provides to students.
Getting started with OASIS
After your OASIS account is up and running, it’s time to head to Blackboard. Blackboard is where all your study materials will be, where you’ll communicate with your tutors and fellow students, and where you’ll submit assignments and receive feedback.
